Concrete Driveways

Driveways That
Outlast Everything

A concrete driveway is one of the highest-value improvements you can make to your property. Eastland Concrete installs residential and commercial driveways that are engineered to carry load, resist cracking, and look great for decades — not years.

Why Concrete is the Right Choice for Your Driveway

Concrete driveways consistently outperform asphalt and gravel over the long term. A properly installed concrete driveway typically lasts 30–50 years with minimal maintenance — compared to 15–25 years for asphalt, which also requires sealing every 2–3 years. When you factor in replacement costs and ongoing maintenance, concrete wins on total cost of ownership, almost every time.

Beyond longevity, concrete handles heavy loads better than asphalt, stays cooler in summer heat (asphalt softens and can rut), and offers far more finish options — from basic broom finish to decorative exposed aggregate or stamped patterns.

Our Driveway Installation Process

Every driveway we install follows a proven process that eliminates the root causes of premature failure. Most cracked or sunken driveways trace back to poor base preparation — something we refuse to cut corners on.

Site Assessment

We evaluate soil type, drainage, slope, and load requirements before any work begins.

Excavation & Grading

Proper depth removal and grading to ensure drainage away from your home and a stable sub-base.

Base Compaction

We compact sub-base material in lifts for maximum stability — the most critical step for longevity.

Forming & Reinforcement

Forms set precisely to grade. Rebar or wire mesh installed at the correct depth per load requirements.

Concrete Pour & Finish

Right-mix concrete placed and finished to your specification — broom, smooth, exposed, or stamped.

Curing & Sealing

Proper curing compounds applied. Optional sealing available for added stain and moisture protection.

Driveway Options & Finishes

  • Standard broom finish — classic texture, excellent traction
  • Smooth trowel finish — clean, refined look
  • Exposed aggregate — natural stone appearance, slip-resistant
  • Stamped patterns — mimics pavers, slate, cobblestone, and more
  • Colored concrete — integral pigment for lasting color
  • Sealed finish — enhanced protection and sheen

Frequently Asked Questions

Most residential driveways take 1–3 days from start to finish. Larger or more complex projects may take longer. The concrete itself requires 24–48 hours before foot traffic and at least 7 days before vehicle use.
Standard residential driveways are typically 4 inches thick. Areas that will support heavier vehicles (RVs, trucks, commercial) should be 5–6 inches with heavier reinforcement. We specify the correct thickness for your use case.
All concrete will develop some degree of cracking over its lifetime due to thermal expansion and contraction. Properly installed control joints direct cracks to predetermined locations where they are hidden and structurally managed. Poor base prep, wrong mix design, and inadequate curing are the leading causes of problematic cracking — all things we take seriously.
